ONE-TWO-2023: EASY STEPS TO MAKING YOUR BEARD NEW YEAR READY

By: Beau Vuillemot • Dec 28, 2022

Are you looking to make a statement in the New Year? If so, why not start with your facial hair? You can ensure your beard is ready for the big night with proper care and attention. Here are some simple steps to prepare your New Year beard in One-Two-2023. Read on to learn more about making your beard look its best.

STEP 1: TRIM YOUR BEARD

For those looking to take your beard to the next level, trimming is vital to keeping it looking its best. A regular trim will keep your beard looking neat.

Start by combing your beard, so all the hairs are lying in the same direction. Then, using a pair of scissors or a beard trimmer, begin trimming your beard. Remember to use the clippers on their lowest setting and to keep the clipper guard in place when trimming. You can always go back and make it shorter if needed, but it's impossible to add length back.

Focus on the sides of your beard first, as these are usually the most unruly areas. Work with the natural shape of your face, avoiding tight and harsh lines. Then, move on to the mustache area, carefully trimming it to the desired length. Finally, trim any stray hairs at the bottom, either with a trimmer or by hand.

If you are new to trimming your beard, it may be worth getting a professional barber to help you with the first few trims. Or you can be the proud owner of a Viking Revolution Beard Grooming Kit and upgrade your appearance and your grooming tools.

STEP 2: GIVE YOUR BEARD A GOOD WASH

When making your beard look great for the New Year, one of the most important steps you can take is to give it a good wash. Washing your beard will help to remove any dirt, product buildup, and excess oil from your skin and hair, leaving your beard looking and feeling refreshed.

To properly wash your beard, start by wetting it with warm water. Use a quality beard wash or mild shampoo designed for beards, such as our Beard Wash, and massage it into the skin and hair. Rinse thoroughly until all the suds are gone. Pat your beard dry with a clean towel and comb through it using a wide-toothed comb or brush. This act will help evenly distribute any remaining oils, soaps, and conditioners.

STEP 3: STYLE YOUR BEARD

No matter your facial hair style, make sure your beard looks great for New Year celebrations and beyond. Get our Beard Balm to help restore, mold, and shape your beard! This must-have also acts as an all-day beard conditioner, removes itchy and scratchy beards, and helps prevent dandruff.
